Thanks to all who responded to my question about outdoor compact
fluorescent lighting. We will spec them out for the sign bids.
One other question about this project:
The Code permits approved wire in sizes 2/0 and larger in battery
boxes. Since we are going to have a load of one 13 W CF light and ballast
with a Trace C-12 charge control, we likely won't be needing 2/0 cable
(ahem).
Is there any code rational for using a sane sized wire in such an
application?
