Steve, I agree that this is a very important issue.
This mis-educates consumers and gives false
expectations. I have gotten leads and referals, some
from people on this list, where the original wrench
multiplied the peak DC rating of the array times 5
full sun hours/day and gave that figure as the
expected system output.
It can be a little challenging to re-educate these
folks once they've been told differently by an
"expert".
