Funny, the one time I talked with them, several years ago, I got the same
impression. Are we all using Deltas just because APT started it? I don't
remember anything but Photron SAMs and a few SunAmp Zap Blocks and LD24s in
the early years, until Powercenters started using the Deltas.

For sure, they're easy to install, they look nice, and they've become the
"industry standard" for inclusion in a professionally-installed system (CYA
stuff). But has anyone ever determined if they work or not? Our local
lightning specialist once dismissed them as worthless, but I figured that's
because he sold his own more expensive stuff...
