Hi Holt,

I guess I'm a little confused on your question. We don't use two grounds, 
only one. We tie both AC and DC into the same ground rod, usually somewhere 
along the wire leading outside, but sometimes at the rod itself. If you do 
have multiple grounds, they need to be bonded together with at least a #4 
copper wire.

The only time we don't tie all grounds together is on a remote array. Then 
we sometimes ground the array, and only run two conductors inside. The 
neutral is NOT connected to ground at the collectors.

If I've misinterpreted what you've asked, please tell me.

Thanks for the information! A question came up about the additional
earth ground - how far apart should they be? The ground has a chance to
stay damp in this particular area and I was wondering if the two rods
could possibly "see" each other. Comments greatly appreciated.
