Solar Insolation Data [RE-wrenches]

Joel and other wrenches.

After taking a quick look at the solarelectric.com solar data information, I
can say that I have serious doubts as to the accuracy of the information (I
wouldn't use it personally). The Daggett data is much more reliable for the
site of concern. The Red Book from NREL is very good long-term data, but it
is only relevant for the sites in the book. You have to know which city is
most like the conditions at your location.

Satellite data is providing some very good insights, but that is still
somewhat in the formative stages (not many years of data).
