4024SW [RE-wrenches]

I'm not surprised at the unclean results from the power companies meters. I
just ran my 4024 through an o'scope test and it came back with varying THD
from 3% to almost 7% depending on the load. What makes it noisy, as my
friend wielding the meter informed me, is the harmonics on the Trace. There
are a lot of high frequency variations that you wouldn't ordinarily see on
the grid and it is probably those that cause the noise problems. He checked
his grid and found worse THD on the grid and much less stable voltage but
also far less "noise" than on the Trace.
