approved disconnects [RE-wrenches]

Travis,

Your utility needs to get a copy of the IEEE 929-2000 interconnection
standard. UL Standard 1741 tests the inverter and was revised to meet the
requirements in IEEE 929 on November 7, 2000. All UL-listed units,
manufactured after November 7 with the words "Utility-Interactive" printed
on the listing label, have been tested to the IEEE 929 requirements.

The utility engineers who worked with the IEEE 929 standard are the most
well respected in their field--this means that any utility that refuses to
accept this standard are disagreeing with the top utility engineers in this
field. Once we get down to the facts of this situation, I have not found
many utilities that continue to insist on their own way.

There is a tremendous body of work that has gone into standardizing
interconnection, but most people in our industry and the utility industry
are unaware of extent of this work.

Bill.
