3 phase inverters [RE-wrenches]

Sorry Bill, you are right I neglected to mention that this will be used 
as a battery back up for a very critical water bypass valve at the hydro 
plant I work at part time. 

Last month when the plant went down, the Kohler genny did not start, so 
the valve could not open and the river was dry for about an hour... NOT 
GOOD and something that FERC SERIOUSLY frowns upon... so I am trying to 
come up with a proposal for a battery/inverter based feed system for 
this motor.

Suggestions welcome... and I really don't want to try to swap out that 
motor to a non 3 phase one unless there is are other options. Everything 
at the plant is 3 phase 208.

Isn't interesting how we test this generator every Monday and it never 
fails to fire right up.
