Hi Folks,

  The first autogenset rule is: "The generator must be capable of remote
starting."  There's a whole lotta generators out there that won't get past this
simple rule. Sometimes you simply have to add the generator manufacturers
remote start kit, if they make one. Sometimes you can get a more universal
remote start gizmo, like the Murphy package that Roy Butler mentioned. In
either case, once the generator will DO remote start, then simply parallel the
SW controls into the remote start control box, so that either the SW or the
homeowner can demand a remote start. Unless there's a remote start kit
available for that China Diesel, I wouldn't suggest wasting too much effort on
it Gary. (I've never known a China Diesel that wasn't leaky and loud.  They run
a long time, but they're never pretty.)
