Hi All,

The best method that I know of is  short tubular standoff that the mount attaches to.  This standoff is then booted to the roof just like any through the roof fitting such as vent pipes, etc.  You then have a sealed part both when you gooed it down and when you put the sealing boot around it.  I think that they could come up with something like
this either standard or as a optional "kit" for not too much more.

I agree that I don't like roof installs ( for all sorts of reasons, but and I'm going to do one tomorrow) its where the customer wants it, in this case next to the 2 other arrays that are already there.
