SW low amp battery charging/AC/grid [RE-wrenches]

Hi all,

Here is my question. I have a customer who is 1000' from the grid, they
already have a SW4048 with batteries no panels, and a genset. Instead of
running the propane genset I am planning on running it off the grid with a 5
amp charge using like #4-6 wire.

Has anyone done this?? I see no problems with just setting the max charge and
max AC1 input to 5 amps, then the inverter will support this when it exceeds
the 5 amps, and keep the batteries floated. Or I can do time of day and set
that for the night.

Thanks,

jay
