Friends, thought you would like to see this.

I am not on the RE Wrenches e-mailing list but I noticed your e-mail on the RE-Wrenches message list.  I was just at the UniSolar plant in Michigan for a tour with the Million Solar Roofs program.

They still sell and make the shingles - and are in fact developing a new shingle that will integrate five to seven of the existing shingles into one "panel" - thereby reducing roof penetrations sevenfold.

You may want to wait until that product gets into the market.  Mr. Terence Parker at UniSolar should know about when that would be (contact information 248 362-4170 or e-mail tparker at uni-solar.com).
