I asked our resident Midwestern (Des Moines) radiant floor and solar hot
water expert, Jeff Benz, about solar cooling and here is his response;

Desiccant cooling technology is being worked on more all the time.

The cooling idea where chilled water is piped behind a valance sort of a
cover where the wall and ceiling meet is available, the cover also acts as a
way to carry away the condensate. The whole idea behind this is to provide
convection cooling without the use of ductwork or using blowers to move air.
I had a catalog on these systems, I'll have to look for it. If anyone is
interested let me know.
