Angle of the Dangle [RE-wrenches]

Greetings,
I had to comment on the position of PV's as it relates to output. Some
of this may seem redundent, but here goes. Though there may seem to be
only be a slight difference in angling the PV's off south and off
elevation, this is not always the case.
In the Southwest, you can almost wire up the modules on the kitchen
table and then just toss em out the dinning room window, works fine.
Here in the midwest, we really gotta get that array much closer to
right. Winter sun angles and snow make mounting flat to the roof (and
roof BIPV's) a no go, and some flat mounts I've seen do not allow for
adequate ventilation/cooling. Also, in some areas, morning sun is more
clear, with the heat of the day producing lots of popcorn clouds for an
afternoon facing array.
Basically, as the angle of incidence increases, the ammount of energy
transmitted through any glass covered collector decreases as the amount
of energy reflected and refracted increases. Actually, it is as you
approach and exceed a 45'angle that things really fall off, but again,
this does not take into consideration sun angles at different times of
the year/laditude/weather paterns and even some etc..
