Thought you'd all be interested to know that the i2p site is working. I got
the following from an email group I'm on, and sent the reply listed and got
a nice reply back (also below.) Just wish more of these folks were in VT!
Jeff
Dear Jeff,
Thanks for your note. And particularly the part about not sending out too
many inquiries, since I wasn't aware that was an issue. The web site is a
good resource---I found a contractor right in my city.
Regards,
Susan

The place to check is a website called www.i2p.org. This is the website for
the Independent Power Producers (I2P). Members include folks known as
"wrenches" (like me) who actually know what they are doing to install this
stuff. They'll make sure the system is complete, safe, and designed in a
responsible manner.
Each of these folks represent a local independent business. You'll be doing
the industry a favor to use a local contractor reather than a big box
retailer like real goods.
Look at the page and select a company. But please do us all a favor, and do
not query five or six companies. We all get a lot of "shotgun" inquiries,
and they tend to eat up time and not produce any good results for anybody.
So treat the selection process the same way you would if you were looking
for a plumber or electrician.
Good luck. If you have any specific questions, we'd be happy to help, but
we're in Vermont, and only look at larger commercial work in California.

I'm thinking about installing solar panels at home (California). Does
anyone know of a good company to talk to about this that has both
reasonable prices and good service?
Thanks for any advice.
Susan
