Mod vs Sine [RE-wrenches]

Hi Richard,
95% Sine from my side of the country. On and off grid. Like you said,
it's nice to know that the appliances will work and when a customer is
spending a lot of money on PV's, it is not a big percentage more to go with
the best. When given the choice even the budget restrained would rather
skimp on batteries or PV's to start and have a core system that doesn't have
to be replaced. The one DR2412 I sold has an owner wishing he had bought a
sine.

I even found something that did not run on the SW4024! A breadmaker. When
I turned all the lights off at night, the house load drops so low that the
nice sine wave turns into a mod sine and the breadmaker turned itself off.
Didn't even like the reduced number of steps. When another load was added
such as the toaster, the breadmaker would turn back on. It was real
disappointing to wake up and find wet dough instead of fresh bread for
breakfast. The solution was to leave lights on..uggh.
Or find a breadmaker that is not so finicky... which we did. Magic Chef does
not work, Regal works fine. We sold our Magic Chef to a friend on the grid.
