Hey Sun worshipers,

Check out the current Mother Jones magazine for a five page piece on the
return of solar power. It is a generic overview of the last thirty
years following the up and downs of the industry. It is the one with
(oil) slick George "Dubya" Bush on the cover.

Here is one small excerpt:

The utility red tape has inspired a defiant group of fly-by-night
electricians to connect solar homes directly to utility meters--- their
guerrilla raids chronicled in the Oregon magazine Home Power.

Also thanks to Bob Ellison for the draft IEEE 929 standards. Being more
educated on the engineering concerns of grid tie can only help in our
interactions with various "authorities".

What are the perameters of topics for this "wrench" list. Is it open
season for non wrench concerns like the marketing discusion we had a
while back? Or do busy wrenches prefer a tech focus. Is this the place
for a discussion on the corporate aquisition of RE supply chains for
instance. Or should it be saved for the Left Bank Cafe? Just curious.

Warm regards, Wallace Stahle, Future Electric
