[RE-wrenches] Whisper 175(500) EZ wire controller troubleshooting

G'Day All,

We have resurrected an old Southwest Windpower Whisper 500 HV unit. We're
having issues with the EZ wire controller and seeking input from our peers
on how to further troubleshoot the internal components of the controller.

Measuring the 3 phase input (from the turbine) at the step down transformer
and comparing to the output to the controller it appears that there is
about a 3:1 or 4:1 turn down ratio whiich is what I had recorded at the
time of the original install back in 2002. So I'd say the transformer is
performing as required.

The issue I'm having is at the controller. I'm getting no DC output to the
battery's DC buss. Perhaps a bad SCR or cap. Admittedly I've never had to
troubleshoot this deep into an EZ wire controller so I'm looking to pull
from our peers any tips you may have.

Next, if anyone has an old operational controller collecting dust I'd be
interested in purchasing it from you. I've enclosed some pictures to jog
our memories, lol.
