[RE-wrenches] DC run

Hey Folks,

             I need some clarification, I'm getting conflicting views.  
When running DC in metal conduit from the roof array to the exterior 
wall mounted string Inverter and the attic is the way to go (for various 
reasons, usually snow), how far below the roof does that conduit have to 
be?  Secured to the bottom of a rafter or top chord OK? Distance 
from???restrictions?
