Another option Is the Novatel T1114 4g modem with voice. Verizon used to sell them as their brand, just don't support them any more. You can find them both new and used online. They do have ethernet ports, which interests me the most. They will work by using the SIM card from other devices (jet pack, cell phone, etc.) at least for Verizon. Don't know about other carriers.

Hi Christopher,
After messing about with various, lower cost, consumer-type units that always seemed to need rebooting or otherwise fiddling with, we have standardized using the GE MDS Orbit modems. They are industrial grade with a steeper learning curve for setup and programming. Once up and running, they have been very solid. Lots of powerful software features. We buy through a local industrial radio company.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] advice on cellular modem brands
G'Day All,
I'm in search of advice on the different brand/models of cellular modems ya'll have been having good luck with these days when it comes to monitoring something basic like an OutBack Mate3s via Optics RE.
What I've found thus far is from a company called MoFi Networks. They offer a unit 4G, for around $320 that requires the end user/client to purchase a sim card w/ hotspot enabled from their local cell carrier whether it be AT&T, Verison or T-mobile. The one note on purchasing from a carrier is that they can throttle you down if you use too much data, which I can't imagine the Outback or any other monitoring apparatus would hit. Now if the client decided to stream movies that's a different story and falls on their shoulders. I was told that you can purchase a sim card from a third party that for reasons I don't begin to understand can't be throttled down by the national carriers.
Anyway I'd love to hear back from my peers on brands that you've tried, trued and tested.
Happy Easter and Passover to All,
Christopher-
