I have used PDF versions of the previous 3 releases of the NEC extensively. On my laptops, telephone and tablet, when responding to questions in the field, from installers, and other inspectors. It takes up no more space when I travel, and I can do it discretely in a class to confirm or question a statement. I find it to be much more valuable than a hardcopy in any format.Again, just one guys opinion.-GlennSent from my 'smart'phone, so please excuse typos and spelling errors.------ Original message------From: Jerry ShaferDate: Wed, Jan 8, 2020 4:55 PMTo: RE-wrenches;Cc: Subject:Re: [RE-wrenches] NEC 2020 not available as a portable PDF?WrenchesMaybe its just me but a NEC book still seams to be best in a paperback version then on a PDF or on line looking a a 5" screen, sometime tech is not the best solution but thats just meJerryOn Wed, Jan 8, 2020 at 10:35 AM Christopher Warfel <cwarfel at entech-engineering.com> wrote:Wrenches,
I was told that the NEC 2020 will not be available as a
file. You can
only access on line, or via the book. Has anyone confirmed this? It
seems pretty certain. How many times is one out in the field and needs
to reference the NEC? Now to do so, you will need the book or a
connection to the Internet. I am having a hard time believing that NFPA
would be this short-sighted. Chris
