We've used a variety of directional wifi extenders with external antenna and have had a 100% success rate.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Extending Enphase WiFi Range

We have a Enphase ground mounted system that is 100 ft from the home.
The home's WiFi signal dies out about 10 from the Envoy's signal. Has
anyone had success extending the range of the either the home's or
Envoy's range. I have tried various range extenders and none have made
any difference. Enphase support suggested buying their cellular modem,
but it only a 5 year product. No word back yet on what happens after
that. Thank you, Chris
