Matt,
quite a few issues and the GT inv. idea is where I would go
also. XW5548 can only sell 20A @240vac. I would just set up a manual A/B
switch on the grid inverter solar input to be able to switch this to the
mppt-80-600 for outages and bad solar days.
I can dig up the one I used.
In this app we just added the second array for winter and let the mppt
current limit when it was cold to avoid stressing it offgrid.
