Wrenches:
When this subject came up it reminded me to check the spreadsheet I had
written some years ago to make sure I still have confidence in it. Well I
password protected it and can’t remember the password, so I could not
really look inside of this particular spreadsheet. The only way I could
prove it was to rewrite it. I did that and it looks like my early work was
good.
In rewriting the tool I added a feature: The tool will now calculate
inter-row spacing for non-equator-facing arrays (not due south facing in
northern hemisphere or not due north facing in the southern hemisphere). I
also left the calculations section visible so if anyone wants to play with
it they can (and when I lose the password again I don’t have to reinvent
it).
I checked the new calculator against the old and against a few models in
Autocad. I am pretty sure I got it right. If anyone out there is willing
to give it a try and let me know if they find anything not right, I would
appreciate it.
I looked on the internet and I don’t see any inter-row tool calculation
tool with the features this one has. I hope someone finds this calculator
useful. I really appreciate all the help I have received from many of the
participants of this forum and posting educational information is one way I
can give back.
The tool can be found here:

Here's a cool row spacing sheet that the Wrenches' own William Miller
provided us a few years back. He might have a newer version, but this
should do what you need, I think.

HI All,
I’m wondering if there is any programs/apps that do inter row shading?
I can’t find any.
RBI used to have one, it was really slick.
Thanks
