Here's the deal....one year old system, 5KW string inverter with AFCI, 2 
strings.  About 3-4 times now when there is lightening in the area (not 
real close), I get a fault that the the AFCI has shut down the 
inverter.  I've accessed the inverter brains and reset it, all is 
good....for awhile.  This last time I poked around more and found that 
one of the strings was 0 Voc at the inverter.  Having installed a fused 
combiner on the roof I checked there to find 425 Voc (about right for 11 
PVs) on the home run side and the output side of the fuse holder.  
Inspected array for hanging, loose wiring, squirrels, etc....nothing, 
all good. Checked at fuse holder again and got 0 Voc.

             My favorite problem, the intermittent one!  Do I need to 
remove and check every PV and connection?  I feel like I make up very 
good UTX connector ends, I'm thinking its a bad PV or diode or trace or 
PV lead.  I have not yet purchased an "Intermittent circuit detector" 
meter yet.  Has somebody gone through this with some sage advice?  Thanks
