[RE-wrenches] Broken bolt

Anyone seen this before, the bolt on a shunt inside a Magnum inverter snapped right off, other half inside the shunt. I was tightening it but I don’t believe excessively. It appears to be crystallized. Magnum is replacing the shunt but it’s my good luck that the job is 5 hours into a remote backwater along a punishing road.
