Mac — Jay has a good suggestion of the Grundfos RSI. There are other companies making “solar pump inverters” to run standard 3-ph. pumps. And, that IS the way to go for systems of this size.
Another supplier in USA is SunPumps. Another is GenPro (Lorentz distributor).
How to compare them? The inverter will represent a small proportion of the system cost, so I would have to ask each prospective supplier to produce a system design for you. Compare them carefully in regard to how they are expected to handle less-than full sun conditions. Also “bells and whistles” can be extremely helpful, meaning data-logging and remote connectivity and control features. Another rare feature is the ability to handle both solar and backup power sources, not merely by transfer switch or relay but by blending them with solar priority.
Lorentz has been the leader in these features, but others have been catching up. I hope you (and others) will report back about your findings! I’m still researching this field form my upcoming book.
