[RE-wrenches] Batteries, between 7s and 8s

Friends:

I went to a customer's home last week that was reporting batteries boiling 
dry.  I found that he had removed one battery and not replaced it.  There 
was one string of 8 L-16s paralleled with one string of 7 L-16s.  Needless 
to say, the seven batteries were toast.

I thought I had seen everything but this is a new one on me!
