[RE-wrenches] PV arrays and comp. shingle lifespan

Any experiential observations out there that would point towards a PV array
extending the lifespan of a composite shingle roof?  Shortening it for some
reason?  Seems that most composite shingles are warranted for a shorter time
period than the PV modules.
