There's a company here in Santa Fe that fits that description: Bluenergy

to see a product from them.

The name Helix made me recall another VAWT company by that same name [?]
that offered a nearly identical device except that it's helical flutes were
covered with PV cells. 

Really.

A 2006 PV customer with an excellent wind friendly ridge-top home sent me
the link which I can't find. 

They just never give up.
