Grid tie with Diesels? [RE-wrenches]

This is based on a friends experience, he has over 40 years experience in custom genset controls and doing what many call the impossible and won't touch. He has done this mostly w/generation sources other than PV/inverter. We worked together to do it w/PV and came to the conclusions I noted in my previous post and found other ways to tackle the project. As I was saying it is not so much of a technical challenge (although significant!)  as it is an economical one. Then there are few that can service these custom control systems.
The $200k was refering to the PV/inverter costs.
If you would like to contact me off list I'll be happy to forward the contact info for this guy and you can hire him to help on this. Personally, I would not take on your project with anyone else.
