Allan is correct.  You lose around 3.5% per 1000' of altitide, BUT temperature
is the real wild card.

3500' at 30C degrees is around 6000', where at say 0 C( 32F) its around 2200'.
So in the winter you will find much better performance than in the heat of
summer.  If anyone wants more info let me know.
