SP10 blocking diode [RE-wrenches]

Bill, it its a single component "charge controller" check carefully to see
if it is a 20 watt Zener diode across the panel output.  I have successfully
used these (I use 50 watt) as a good low power simple voltage controller. I
didn't think any manufacturers were doing that.  Let me know if you find
out.

Not withstanding Mr. Sharkey's learned response, Siemens does put
something(s) in the connector wiring on the SP 10 RV and Marine kits they
sell and they refer to it as a charge controller. I have, as yet, only seen
the installation instructions and the line illustration artwork, when I get
the hardware in hand I can report what a disection inspection reveals;
unless some other inquisitive mind has already been down this path and
discloses the real contents of the "10 watt charge controller".
