LP heater [RE-wrenches]

Todd,
We have been advised by our Eco-Therm distributor not to sell the
Eco-Therm at higher elevations (we're at 7,000). Apparently they become
unreliable and trouble-prone; it's not clear to me whether they mean just at
high elevations, or that they generally don't like the unit. I have learned
to respect this distributor's advice.
The Cozy heaters are ugly but functional, and use a millivolt
thermostat, so you probably could use a setback unit. Explorer (858
587-9766) seems to be a little flaky as a company, but their products (gas
fridges, freezers, and heaters, plus a few ranges and a washer; I think
they're from S. Africa, but I'm not sure) are turning out to be quite good;
they make two direct-vent wall units that are quite attractive. We have one
client who did her own research before buying their heaters and is very
happy with them.
I have a hunch that Steve Willey is our best sage in this realm, way up
north there...
