Module construction [RE-wrenches]

Hi All,

When I worked for Alternative Energy we bitched loud and long at BP about
their J boxes to no avail. It amazed us that they could baulk at what is a
great panel to make it better for the lack of a 45c piece of plastic, but go
figure.

I have sold and used them all, and for my dollar the Siemens is the best,
easiest to install, has adjustable voltage, installed diodes ( and more
importantly EASILY REPLACED WITHOUT SOLDERING!).

Sorry BP guys, but there double sided taped J boxes suck. I have had lots of
them pull off the back of the panel. I just replaced 3 in south America that
filled up with water and shorted out (of course they melted the leads). My
fix was to drill holes in the J boxes. How did they fill up? The sides
pulled away and the water got in but couldn't get out. I just don't see how
this double sided tape is going to last 25 years??

OK I'm off my soap box for now!.
