A low cost alternative for heating pools and preheating water for homes is
to use 1" black polytube. Make a two meter round frame out of 1/2" rebar,
coil the black polytube inside the frame and bolt the frame together to
form a sandwich with the polytube in between the two frames. These have
been used in Central America for decades and are a low cost alternative to
the commercial water heaters.
