Kurt,
I haven't tried the pressure switch on the T240 primary. It sounds OK,
but it seems to me it's lots of conductors: hot from inverter to PS,
switched hot back from PS to T240 input, 2 hots from T240 to pump, neutrals
as needed...is my circuit-bozo imagination running amok here? Maybe you put
the T240 near the pump controller.
If the T240 is located next to the inverter in the power cabinet, then
it seems that all I need is a low current (a few milliamps for the relay
coil--we use TFN 2-C 18/2 float switch cable) signal wire and my 240 to the
pump controller.
On the job I'm thinking of, we worked with a 3/4 hp AC pump (run off a
PS2524) with a cistern, controlled by a float switch and DC timer (weak
well, 2 1/2-hour pump cycles/day, daylight hours only) and a 24V Flowlight
Booster Pump controlled by a pressure switch. At the client's request, I
set up a DPDT switching circuit on the relay control circuitry to allow the
Booster Pump to be bypassed if desired, and the AC sub to pump and
pressurize, controlled by a second pressure switch. It's a manual
operation, as the tank and flow valves had to be switched, but it worked
well and the client was pleased.
