Trace SW again [RE-wrenches]

So at this point we have 3 options:

1) put up with what we have
2) lobby Trace to get with the program and give us the options we need
3) design a packaged external microprocessor based "brain" to make the
inverter a bit smarter

What are people interested in supporting?

Todd

Todd,

Seems like we should make it a two phase "attack". First, lobby Trace, and
ask for a timetable of development and a "to market" schedule, with updates
to us so we know if it's happening.

If (when) they do not start, or continue the project, then we get a
colloborative together to fund a new product development.

MUCH easier to have Trace do this, so that we do not need to fund:
	Development
	Redevelopment
	UL Listing
Interface warranty issues ("Trace said your part broke our inverter", or
"Trace will not warrant the inverter if non-Trace items are interfaced blah
blah".)

Best way to "help" Trace would be to come up with a probable market
quantity of sales for the units, based upon a certain price point.

What does everyone think these are worth, in hard dollars? What can you get
your customers to pay?
