Travis, You make a very good case for the "whole system" approach and I think 
that William must understand the points made. In this specific case it sounds 
like he is installing primarily for a specific vendor that is doing a pretty 
good job. He may not have the experience that many of us have had with owner 
installers in trouble.

I personally have lots of problems with dealing with vendor's "packages" that 
are seldom sized correctly or include all the correct components for a 
specific install. Especially troubling are the BP and Siemens packages being 
marketed. The package never includes or deals with the all importang "site" 
specific details which make or break the total experience.
