Good questions:

Before I do an installation I review the equipment list and if I find
errors or omissions, I notify the client.  If they can't or won't get the
right stuff I either disclaim the results or refuse to do the installation.
 I provide conduit, wire, circuit breakers, etc.

I generally don't do the load calculations as I'm not that experienced with
that task.  I hope for a good sales outfit to do that, and I've been lucky
in that regard as most sales locally come from Pacific Energy, a very
knowledgeable shop.

I'd rather concentrate on doing top notch work and not worry about sales
tax, manufacturer relations, storefront, etc., etc.  This is just one
approach but it's working great as the installations are passing inspection
first time, a pleasure to look at and I rarely hear from my clients with
problems.
