MIXED PANEL ARRAY'S [RE-wrenches]

A problem I have had with the Solar Converters charge
controlls has been with the AGC fuse holders on the PC
board.  When operating anywhere near the controller's
rated current, the fuse gets so hot that I have had
the soldered ends of the fuses desolder themselves. 
Since I have a breaker on the input and output of the
controller, I had him replace the unneeded fuse holder
with a jumper.  He claimed no one else had reported
this problem.

Has anyone else seen these units actually take power
from the battery under some light level and battery
state of charge conditions?  I believe I have seen
about a 1/2 amp drain.

I haven't had his digital meter add ons perform to my
satisfaction yet.  They either won't stay calibrated,
or aren't accurate over the voltage range.  The
biggest problem has been that the readings vary
greatly with ambient temperature.  When most of my
installations are in unheated buildings, this is not
good.
