John:

We sell a TCP bulb that is waterproof (made for wet locations). What has
worked for us in some fixtures is to use a socket extender ($3 device that
brings the socket forward about 1" to 1 1/2"), and then screw the bulb into
that. We can add a reflector for better lighting. Comes in 11, 15, 18, 23
and 26 Watts.

I have not found anything else that comes closer to an exact replacement
for those energy hog outdoor floods.

If you're interested, contact me off-list.

Jeff

Does anyone have a good source for 12vdc motion sensing outdoor
floodlights?
I have had quite a few requests lately. Also on the same vein, how about
compact fluorescent floodlight bulbs that will fit in outdoor floodlight
sockets (needs long skinny neck. I have one (13watt) that I bought years
ago
and have no idea where I got it.
