Invertrix inverters? [RE-wrenches]

I have sold two of the 2500W units.  The first one
went on a house boat in Kentucky, mainly to run the
refrigerator.  It would not run the Kenmore
refrigerator, but the problem turned out to be the
refrigerator controls.  The refrigerator would run
through one cycle after disconnecting from shore
power, shut off, and was not able to restart.
No, this was not a sleep mode problem.  Something in
the controls just didn't like the mod-sine power. 
They replaced the refrigerator and are totally pleased
with the inverter.

The other unit is powering a refrigerator and running
a well pump for an Amish family.  (98% of my business
is Amish.)  In this installation we are using the gen
start option.  The gen start worked for a while and
quit.  I sent the inverter back for checkout and
upgrades without the gen start unit, at Ray Dashner's
instruction.  I found out today from a tech that Ray
is purely marketing, and gave me the wrong advice. 
The inverter is back, and of course, the gen start
still doesn't work.  I will now be sending the gen
start back for repair.  Maybe it will behave better
the
next time around.

They boast about a 6 year warranty.  Read the fine
print.  Only the first year is 100%.  It tapers off
rapidly, with the 6th year being something like 6%.

They added several features with the latest software
upgrades.  They added a "run time hours" display at
powerup.  Many of the new features are to benefit
Invertrix, such as keeping track of errors.  If you
wire anything wrong, it is logged and the warranty is
void.  One interesting thing is that you must verify
that the input and output COMMON wires that you are
connecting to the inverter are isolated.  If they
aren't isolated, bye bye warranty.  (Trace has them in
common on all of their inverters as far as I know.) 
The bare ground wires cannot be bonded to the commons
either on the Invertrix.

All operational/gen start/charging parameters are
setup by plugging in a touch tone phone. This is
pretty cool.  The remote control has only one button. 
Holding it for over 1 second will turn the unit on or
off.  A brief tap will turn the gen start on or off. 
Holding it for something like 30 seconds will initiate
an equalization charge with the generator.

My opinion of the Invertrix is still forming.  The
jury is still out on the gen start option.
