Windy CAN help you. I sent you a document called Solar Retrofit for 
Pump Jacks and Windmills, but I got your address wrong. I'll send it 
again, sorry.

A pump jack is a belt-driven machine, to be driven by any motor or 
engine. It need not be special "solar". However, it is very heavy 
equipment to install, so there must be somebody capable, locally. In 
windmill country, that's not hard to find, but ...

It's also expensive, like guestimate $10/ft. for the downhole equipment alone.


If any of you want the solar pump jack document, please ask me. It 
goes through the whole design process.   Here is the preamble:

Dankoff Solar has designed and supplied solar pump jack systems since 
1982. In cases where a solar submersible is not capable or desirable, 
we supply system components to dealers and installers. Normally, we 
recommend that the jack and down-hole equipment be supplied by the 
installing contractor. We will be happy to supply all of the power 
system components that you will need, consisting of:
  - PV modules (solar panels)
  - Fixed or tracking array rack
  - DC motor
  - Pump controller (linear current booster)
  - Disconnect switch, float switch, other supplies

This document will guide you through the design process, and will 
remind you of considerations that are easy to overlook. Please ask us 
for help when necessary.

THIS DOCUMENT is divided into 3 parts:
   1. CUSTOMER QUESTIONAIRE -- Your customer can use this form to 
supply you the needed data.
   2. DESIGNER'S WORKSHEET -- This guides you through the design process.
   3. NOTICE TO THE CUSTOMER -- Copy or adapt this notice and give it 
to the customer to avoid
                                                   any possible 
misunderstandings.
