As per my web site article referenced before, 1.5 HP is conservative
on a 4024. We have an old customer using a 2 HP on a 4024 for past 4
years! Frank Fowler says that's about all it will run. Our customers
lights blink when it starts, and it shuts down if he is running the
washing machine when the pump starts up. Once the pump starts
however, he can then start the washing machine. It's workable.
It won't need to start up but once a day at most, with a storage tank system.

Hey, it happens to me almost every day. Hard to say sometimes if you
are helping humanity to consume less earthly resources, or more! I
just have to detach myself and figure that people will do what they
will do, that I don't always know best, and try to find the best
option if not the ideal. At least your customer will likely develop
the quality of the land to where it needs less water -- permaculture
ideal.
