Protection of DC circuits [RE-wrenches]

I'm always sort of a "what if" kind of guy so I figure it's a moot point if ta modern controller can
protect DC loads because most of them have equalize options.  If the controller is left set to
equalize mode the DC loads could well have ample opportunity to turn to toast.  I'd stick to taking
DC loads off the battery side of the disconnect.
