Generator Fuel Rules of Thumb [RE-wrenches]

Information I have from Kohler in writing, as well as the local propane
dealer, says 36.39  cubic feet of propane at working pressure and 60 degrees
is a gallon. Other posts here were claiming 154.3 cf per gallon so I took a
day to check these sources before replying again.

I assume they are measuring it at the appliance working pressure of about
1/2 pound, though this is not stated.

That means a 10 kilowatt generator, like the 10RY on propane LP fuel, uses
about 2 gallons per hour at full load, a figure that seems more proportional
to experience.  Perhaps the 154.3 cubic feet per gallon applies to natural
gas where more must be used to equal the same energy?
