<x-flowed>Consider is the speed and type of motor.

1725 rpm motor will start and come up to speed faster than a 3450 rpm motor.

Capacitor start motor will start easier and be more forgiving and 
cause less phase-related problems than one without a cpacitor.  Worst 
offender, hardest and slowest to start is shaded pole motor, as found 
on cheap grinders, some fans, and some very small pumps.
