Trace gridtied [RE-wrenches]

Hello again wrenches,
This reminds me of a concern I expressed to Trace while experimenting with the first grid
interactive system I installed.
To my thinking, having the inverter running at night while the grid was active seemed quite
inefficient. I was after a way to have the inverter switch itself to be in standby mode
unless:
1) the grid failed, or
2) the battery voltage got above the set point when it would go into the sell mode.
IMO it would be way more efficient to NOT float charge the batteries all night and just have
the inverter shut itself off. This would eliminate the 30 watts? of idle current the
inverter draws continuously when running.
"George", who's last name I forget said they were working on what he called a "silent sell"
mode, which I guess became vaporware, as 3 years later is still not available.
