Thanks for your info. And thanks to the other Wrenches who let us 
know what types of inverters they are selling to their customers.

I suspected that the sine wave models were gaining the upper hand in 
the market place. This is great!

I'm surprised to hear that the breadmaker had problems with the SW's 
output. There is a only small list of appliances which don't like its 
"Mayan pyramid" waveform. I'll add the Magic Chef breadmaker to the 
list.

Which goes to show that inverter makers are using the term "pure sine 
wave" loosely. Just throwing the inverter's waveform up on the 
oscilloscope clearly shows how closely the inverter replicates a sine 
wave. We just purchased a Fluke 43 Power Quality Analyzer here. We're 
testing everything we can get our hands on. We'll publish the data as 
soon as we get enough of it. Quite a few surprises.
